If so, it is essential that there is sufficient bone present in the correct location. This is not always the case. If you have been toothless for a long time or if the area in question is inflamed, you may have a bone deficiency. To be able to place the desired implants in such a situation, new bone must first be applied. This is called bone augmentation. Bone augmentation is performed by means of a <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.yourdental.nl\/chirurgische-ingrepen\/\">surgical procedure<\/a>. Your Dental is by your side throughout this process. Before you know it, you will be facing the future with a complete set of teeth.         <\/p>\n<h3>How does bone augmentation work?<\/h3>\n<p>Bone augmentation can take place in various ways. For example, it is possible to remove a piece of bone from elsewhere in your body and apply it to the relevant site. Exactly what is required for you depends on your situation:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do you wish to replace one or two teeth or molars with an implant? Often, the new bone to be applied can be taken from elsewhere in your mouth. For example, from the wisdom tooth region, chin, or the back of your upper jaw.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you having more than two implants placed? In that case, the amount of bone that can be taken from your mouth is often insufficient. In such instances, we use demineralized cortical human bone. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If desired, we can use synthetic bone for this treatment instead of your own bone.
